Khanapuri Parcha Bihar: Download, Check, Object (Patna 2026)
Quick answer
The khanapuri parcha (Form 7) is the first written record of your land in the Bihar survey: khesra, area, boundaries and whose name. If it's wrong, object in Form 8.
- View the parcha and its plot map on dlrs.bihar.gov.in.
- A parcha shown online counts as served on you.
- On 2 Nov 2026, 13 villages in 5 Patna circles were on the parcha search.
But the window to object is limited. The village list and the steps are below.

How to view and download the khanapuri parcha online
- Open dlrs.bihar.gov.in and go to "बिहार विशेष सर्वेक्षण संबंधित सेवाएं" (special survey services). Choose district PATNA and press "Go".
- Click "खानापुरी पर्चा एवं खेसरावार मानचित्र देखें" (view khanapuri parcha and plot map).
- Two buttons appear: "खानापुरी पर्चा देखें" (parcha) and "खेसरावार मानचित्र देखें" (plot map). Open the parcha first.
- Select District, Circle, Mauja (village) and Shivir (camp). Enter the Kheshra No (new survey plot number) and press "Show".
- The parcha page has a Print button at the top. Use it to save a PDF or print it.
- Then open the plot map for the same khesra.
- Don't know the new khesra number? Use "पुराना खाता / खेसरा के आधार पर Special Survey का नया खेसरा देखे" (find the new khesra from the old khata/khesra) in the same service list.
- Village not listed, or nothing shows for your khesra? Then your village's parcha isn't online yet. Ask the amin or kanungo at the camp.
Which Patna villages have khanapuri parchas online?
On 2 November 2026 we opened all 23 Patna circles on the parcha search page. Villages showed up in only these 5 circles:
| Circle | Village (thana number) |
|---|---|
| Bikram | Arap (96), Kanpa (35), Majhauli (234), Nagahra (60) |
| Dhanarua | Bhergawan (137), Majhauli (135), Telhara (132), Ziauddin Chak (91) |
| Paliganj | Dariapur Pem (312), Narauli (271), Mudika (276) |
| Maner | Rambad (7/110) |
| Naubatpur | Tiskhora (121) |
The other 18 circles (Danapur, Phulwari, Sampatchak, Punpun, Bihta and others) had no village on this page yet. Names are as spelt on the portal. The list can change any day, so check your own circle.
What the khanapuri parcha shows, and what to match
Each raiyat gets a separate parcha. In city apartments, each flat owner gets one. Villages use Form 7; urban areas use Form 7(A). The columns of Form 7(A), as printed in the gazette, are below. Match the same land details on a village parcha too:
| On the parcha | Match it with |
|---|---|
| Raiyat's name, father's/husband's name, address | Jamabandi, sale deed, Aadhaar |
| Khata and new khesra (plot) number | Your plot on the plot map |
| Area | Sale deed, old khatiyan |
| Boundaries (chauhaddi) | The neighbours or road on each side, as on the ground |
| Land classification | Actual use (field, house, etc.) |
| Basis of ownership (succession, gift, purchase, exchange) | Your self-declaration (Form 2) and family tree |
| Remarks, possession | Whose possession is written |
The urban Form 7(A) also has the building name, floor and flat number. It adds built-up area, parking and the flat's share of land. Area is in acres-decimals or square metres. In Patna terms, roughly 1 kattha ≈ 3.125 decimals.
The parcha combines old records, the checked self-declaration and the field measurement. Catch any mistake now.
Mistake in the parcha? How to object in Form 8
- Fill Form 8 (Form 8(A) in urban areas). Write your name and address, and the opposite party's. Add the land details (village, thana number, khesra, area). Then say what is wrong and what correction you want.
- Attach proof: sale deed, khatiyan, rent receipt, jamabandi, partition deed or court order.
- File it at the camp and take the receipt (Form 9). The DLRS service list also has an online option: "खानापुरी पर्चा के आधार पर दावा/आक्षेप समर्पित करें".
- Hearing notice: the kanungo or revenue officer sends it in Form 11, with the place, date and time. Go in person with your papers.
- See the decision under "खानापुरी पर्चा के विरुद्ध प्राप्त दावा आपत्ति के निपटारे का आदेश देखें". Choose circle, village and camp.
The landowner, or anyone with an interest in the land, can object. The 2026 amendment sets no last date for Form 8. Object as early as you can, before the next stage (the draft) is published. Ask the camp for your village's dates.

Didn't get the parcha, or missed the khanapuri visit?
- How it's served: handed to the raiyat or a near relative. If refused, it's pasted on the house gate or wall. Entries are also read out at a fixed place and time in the village.
- Online counts as served: under the rules, information given through public electronic means is proper service. Don't wait for a paper copy; keep checking the portal.
- Absent during the field check? The amin doesn't stop; your absence goes into the Yaddasht register. When you turn up later, your land details are entered in that register (Form 3(2)). Go to the camp soon.
- Sale deed mortgaged with a bank? Get a certified copy from the registry office. Show it to the kanungo or Assistant Settlement Officer.
- Amin took papers without a receipt? The department's FAQ says the amin must sign a receipt for every proof you hand over. Ask for it.
After khanapuri: draft record, objections and final khatiyan
| Stage | Where it's shown | If it's wrong |
|---|---|---|
| Draft khanapuri record of rights (Form 12), with map | Camp, village, panchayat and circle office notice boards for 30 days straight; also on the portal | Object in Form 14 at the camp; receipt Form 16 |
| Final record of rights (Form 20) | Portal and camp | Form 21 within 90 days of publication |
All survey stages and appeal deadlines: Bihar Land Survey 2026: Form 2. Collect your copy of the final khatiyan, the "raiyati fard", from the camp or settlement office.
Buying a Patna plot in a survey village?
- Ask for the seller's khanapuri parcha. Match the name, new khesra, area and boundaries with the draft sale deed.
- If the parcha shows someone else's name or possession, don't pay a token until that objection is decided.
- Have both the old and new khesra written in the sale deed, so the link stays clear.
- Full checklist: how to buy land or a plot in Patna.
What does khanapuri mean?
The survey first does kishtwar: the map made from aerial photos is checked on the ground. Then comes khanapuri: each plot on the map gets a serial number (the new khesra) and its columns are filled in. That settles each plot's owner, area and type.
The amin starts from the north-west corner of the village and matches plots with raiyats present. The khanapuri parcha is the result. The department calls the plot map that comes with it the LPM (land parcel map).
What should you do?
- Check the portal every week for your village's parcha. Online counts as served.
- Open both the parcha and the map. Match name, khesra, area and boundaries with your sale deed and khatiyan, one by one.
- Found a mistake? Don't wait. File Form 8 with proof and keep the receipt.
- Attend the hearing yourself, or send someone you trust with all the papers.
- Is the jamabandi itself wrong? Fix it too, since your claim rests on it: Parimarjan Plus jamabandi correction.
- Can't make sense of the parcha, or the family disagrees on shares? We can look at your parcha and papers and tell you whether an objection stands.
Khanapuri parcha FAQs
What's the difference between the khanapuri parcha and the khatiyan?
The parcha is the survey's first draft entry, open to objection. After hearings comes the draft record, then the final record of rights, which is the new khatiyan. About the old khatiyan: Khatiyan Bihar: download and meaning.
Is there a fee for the parcha or for objecting?
We found no fee for viewing the parcha or filing an objection in the rules or the FAQ. The draft-record notice clearly says inspection is "free of cost". If someone asks for money, tell the camp in-charge.
I live outside Patna. How do I object?
View and print the parcha online. Object through the DLRS online option, or have a family member file it at the camp and take the receipt. The camp's phone numbers are on the survey status page.
The parcha shows someone else's name on my land. What do I do?
File a claim in Form 8 and name that person as the opposite party. Attach your sale deed, mutation order and rent receipts, and attend the hearing.
